As a Certificated Hypnosis Birthing Practitioner welcome to this special benefit of hypnotherapy                                                                 E a s i b i r t h i n g

Easibirthing is a proven method of using hypnotherapy to empower and prepare you to have the best birthing experience possible with both mind and body working in unison.

Sessions are conducted either on an individual or partnered birthing basis whereby the parent/s to be are productively informed to support one another in the most beneficial of ways that are not available within the routine prenatal process.

Preparation for a Normal Birth

Hypnotherapy sessions are provided to enhance self empowerment through the birthing process; being guided into a deeply relaxed state and instructed on relevant breathing techniques. These collectively work together with visualisation making the contractions more manageable.  It is a holistic therapy which is effective in calming the mind inducing the most favourable psychological state to aid the body to do what it innately knows what/how to do.

All sounds so simple but many mums/parents-to-be do become stressed during this important transitional phase and stress is a major factor which works in opposition to natural birthing.  If the body tenses/stresses hormones are released into the system which may conflict with the contractions, hampering labour making it inefficient and prolonged.

The British Medical Association (BMA) have officially and significantly endorsed the efficacy on the uses of hypnotherapy in childbirth as a valid effective treatment:

‘there is a place for hypnotism in the production of anaesthesia or analgesia for surgical and dental operation, and in suitable subjects it is an effective method of relieving pain in childbirth without altering the normal course of labour’

Preparation for an elective Cesarean Section and/or Surgical Intervention

Hypnosis is also offered to those who are preparing for a possible or pre-arranged or elective Caesarean Section.
